Why We Fundraise

Sparta Youth Hockey is a volunteer-led program. We actively fundraise to keep registration and operating costs down. Fundraising is a year-round activity at Sparta Youth Hockey.


Each SYHA family is expected to fundraise for the organization. Fundraising events vary from year to year and there are typically more than one of the events. If you have suggestions on how we can improve, please let us know! 


Below are the guidelines for SYHA families. You are asked to write a check for at least the amount below at the beginning of the season for our main car wash fundraising event because the cards being sold have an actual cash value. The check will be returned when the money for the items (tickets, cards, etc.) sold is returned.


  • 1st year Mite families 5 tickets or $100
  • Returning Mites 10 tickets or $200
  • All other levels 15 tickets or $300
